Be Prepared for Your Home Loan Application
You will need:
- A copy of your escrowed Sales Contract
with original signatures on it.
- General Information:
- Addresses over last two years
- If renting, names and address of landlords
- Social Security numbers
- VA Certificate of Eligibility of DD214 (if VA loan)
- Employment:
- Names, addresses and dates of employment over last
two years.
- Gross monthly or annual income (base and overtime separate). If
commissioned income, last two years tax returns.
Self-Employed:
- Last two years tax returns
- personal and business.
- Financial and current profit & loss statements and balance
sheet.
- Liquid Assets:
- Name and address of banks and credit
unions.
- Account numbers and approximate balance for checking &
savings.
- Real Estate Owned:
- Addresses and value.
- Name and address of mortgage company and
account number.
- Monthly payments and approximate balances.
- If rental property, rental
income and copy of leases.
- Property taxes and insurance (if not included in payment)
- Disposition of property - to be sold; to be rented; presently
rented.
- Automobiles: Make, model and value.
- Personal Assets: Approximate value
of furniture and all household goods.
- Liabilities: Charge accounts, car notes,
bank or credit union notes. (Do not include gasoline cards.)
- Names, addresses and account numbers.
- Payments and approximate balances.
- Child care expenses, if parents work.
- Child support or alimony (copy of divorce papers).
- Co-signer on note - name and address of creditor; account number;
payment and approximate balance; name of person you cosigned for.
- Application Fee: Check for credit report
and appraisal. (Usually between $300 and $350.00)
